WOOD EVALUATION OF Eucalyptus pellita F.Muell. AND Eucalyptus tereticornis Smith AS POTENTIAL FOR PULP AND PAPER PRODUCTION

چکیده

This paper aimed to determine the quality indexes for and cellulose based on fiber features from two wood species of interest, Eucalyptus pellita E. tereticornis. The mean annual increment (IMA) was calculated by measuring DBH Height (25 years), a 10 cm disk each tree collected density determinations anatomical studies paper. Tree height, trunk diameter at 1.30 m in height (DBH), volume per were higher when compared hectare average tereticornis pellita. Based dimensions, we did not observe any variation flexibility coefficient between species; however, this index more heterogeneous with lowest value pith. showed lower wall fraction value, including overall Runkel pellita; addition, highest above 1, found pith position slenderness differ it possible detect which had performed better. results indicate that have potential production high mechanical resistance, such as writing, printing packaging. both has use producing cellulose.

Species Discrimination, Population Structure and Linkage Disequilibrium in Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Eucalyptus tereticornis Using SSR Markers

Eucalyptus camaldulensis and E. tereticornis are closely related species commonly cultivated for pulp wood in many tropical countries including India. Understanding the genetic structure and linkage disequilibrium (LD) existing in these species is essential for the improvement of industrially important traits. Our goal was to evaluate the use of simple sequence repeat (SSR) loci for species dis...

Oxidative stress as an indicator of lower quality eucalyptus for pulp and paper industry

Background Wood is the most important natural and renewable source of infinite energy, but this is not their only function, it also has great significance to the buildings and other products [1]. Eucalyptus, the genus that includes more than 500 species, is among the key forest species planted around the world to solid wood, and mainly for the pulp and paper industries. Aiming at the sustainabl...

Spectral characterization of eucalyptus wood.

The main difficulties in wood and pulp analyses arise principally from their numerous components with different chemical structures. Therefore, the basic problem in a specific analytical procedure may be the selective separation of the main carbohydrate-derived components from lignin due to their chemical association and structural coexistence. The processing of the wood determines some structu...

Microsporogenesis and flower development in Eucalyptus urophylla × E. tereticornis

We compared microsporogenesis and flower development in Eucalyptus urophylla × E. tereticornis. In this study, although microsporogenesis and cytokinesis occurred simultaneously during meiosis of pollen mother cells, we observed a strong asynchronism in different anthers from a flower bud. The developmental period of microsporogenesis in anthers originated from the long thrum before the short t...

Fuel Properties and Suitability of Eucalyptus Benthamii and Eucalyptus Macarthurii for Torrefied Wood and Pellets

Torrefaction is the process of heating a material in the absence of oxygen, a pretreatment that represents a promising option for biofuels. Two eucalyptus species harvested in South Carolina, E. benthamii and E. macarthurii, were processed in a torrefier, and wood pellets were manufactured. Eucalyptus represents a promising biomass source in southern U.S. due to fast growth rates and the availa...
